Ben Elson

Attorney

Ben Elson joined the People’s Law Office in the Summer of 2005 and has concentrated his practice on police misconduct, prisoners’ rights, wrongful conviction, and criminal defense cases. Mr. Elson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin in 2002 and a law degree from the University of Wisconsin in 2005. During law school, Mr. Elson worked as an Ella Baker intern at the Center for Constitutional Rights, clerked for The Jeff Scott Olson Law Firm, a civil rights firm in Madison, Wisconsin, and interned for Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He is admitted to practice in the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Illinois Supreme Court, the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the Northern District of Illinois, the Central District of Illinois, and the Western District of Wisconsin.
