Jon Burge Arrested for Perjury and Obstruction
Former Chicago Police Officer Jon Burge was arrested this morning in Florida on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice. Burge was responsible for a torture ring in which over 100 African American suspects were tortured by Chicago Police. Attorneys from People’s Law Office have been representing Burge’s victims for decades and consider this a huge victory. We hope this provides torture survivors and their families a sense of hope that justice will finally be acheived in this ordeal.
